You may ask yourself a very important question about our pricing structure: “Can I afford you?”

The answer is simple: “Sure!”

Let’s be more specific. Advertising agencies are similar to travel agencies, with some distinctions. When you book a vacation to Hawaii through a travel agent, the travel agent is paid a commission by the airlines, the hotels, and the rental car company. That’s how the travel agent makes a paycheck.

Ad agencies are similar, in that we also make a commission from the media outlets where we buy your advertising. That commission helps “float the boat” for us. However, we spend a lot of time crafting a marketing plan, designing ads, and putting your projects onto our limited calendar. It requires a lot more effort than simply booking a flight or a hotel reservation, so we must charge a monthly “retainer” fee that pays for all the services in our contract to you. As well, we may need to hire professional radio and television producers, graphic designers, photographers, and web site designers and copy writers to produce your projects.

If we need to incur significant “out of pocket” expenses, we’ll re-bill you for those expenses at our cost, not a penny more. However, our monthly fee covers all our routine activities. That’s still not free, of course. But consider two other factors:

BUYING POWER We buy from many different media. And, generally, we buy a lot. That fact gives us quite a bit of negotiating power to get you rates below what most “direct” advertising buyers get. The money you save on quantity buying often offsets the bulk of the fee we charge.

EFFICIENT MARKETING If we weren’t capable of helping our clients use their ad dollars more efficiently, we probably wouldn’t have lasted past our first year in business, or grown as fast as we have. The money you invest in your advertising, placed by a person who specializes in advertising, is money used more efficiently and brings you greater returns per dollar spent!

In short, it’s true—ad agencies are like travel agencies, using their skill and resources to save you money! We’re proud to say our clients would agree we’re doing exactly that for their businesses.
